There is a figure appearing in the background of the left side of the blog. The color scheme is a black background, red and yellow text, and the headline reads 16 bars. The layout is simple and easy to read. In the about me section, the blog creator tells us that he is a student at The Ohio State University and that he is interested in music. More so, he tells us that music is his life, and he wants to hear what people have to say about it.

This blog site appears to be about what others have to say in response to a topic the author posts. For instance, he says, “Post your best 16 bars or post the best 16 bars you’ve ever heard…..Show your skills or rep your favorite artists.” I read this as a response blog or perhaps even a blog for discussion.

This blog may function better when it has more readers responding the posts that have been made. As of now there is one post and no responses, so I’m not certain how well this blog will function. If I were to make a prediction, it could potentially function well if there are regular responses to the posts being made. There should additionally be a subscribe button on the blog because that seems as if it were an essential part of a response/discussion blog. He should try and link to as many other sites as possible as well. Having a wide variety of readers and responses could really help the site function.

Since there is once post and no replies yet, it is difficult to read into this blog. I think the implications are to have discussions about music. He let’s us know what passion he has for music on the page in plain text. And, I think the site implicates that he wants readers to describe new artists and what their work means to others. The post is broad and leaves much room for interpretation. This is nice because there could be a wide range of responses as well from all different kinds of people. Having a variety of responses opens up the room for much potential discussion and debate, which is a great function for a blog. The site wants many readers constantly posting. That’s how I read it. I see the author responding to these posts and hopefully others even responding to that. Hence why I think this blog is based on debate and discussion.
